With more scrutiny on costs of grafting and other wound care innovations, they emphasized good stewardship of resources to keep these options from becoming over regulated. | MEDICARE NEWS | |
Changes to Medicare Telehealth Coverage
Absent Congressional action, beginning October 1, 2025, many of the statutory limitations that were in place for Medicare telehealth services prior to the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency will take effect again for services that are not behavioral and mental health services. These include prohibition of many services provided to beneficiaries in their homes and outside of rural areas and hospice recertifications that require a face-to-face encounter. In some cases, these restrictions can impact requirements for meeting continued eligibility for other Medicare benefits.
In the absence of Congressional action, practitioners who choose to perform telehealth services that are not payable by Medicare on or after October 1, 2025, may want to evaluate providing beneficiaries with an Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage. Practitioners should monitor Congressional action and may choose to hold claims associated with telehealth services that are not payable by Medicare in the absence of Congressional action. Additionally, Medicare would not be able to pay some kinds of practitioners for telehealth services. For further information, click here.

Sin No. 5: Assuming investments are an end rather than a means
Investing is not a sport. It's not something to do for its own sake. It's something to do to help fulfill your financial purpose. For that reason — and not because of anything the financial media or investment industry says — investing is critically important. Solid investment performance means you can fulfill your objectives more fully, whatever they are. That's just true.
So, always think about investing in the context of your own purpose. You're not investing to compete or compare. You're investing to help accomplish what you want. Think about what this means for investment risk and return. Ask yourself, "How much risk am I willing to take to dream as big as I want to dream?"
