APMA Offering New Prep Course and Exam for Surgical Foot and Ankle Coding
|
APMA, in conjunction with the American Academy of Professional Coders, developed the Certified Surgical Foot & Ankle Coder (CSFAC) examination to provide a means for professional coders, podiatrists, orthopedists, and billing staff to demonstrate their expertise in coding medical services and surgical procedures performed on the foot and ankle. To be among the first crop to be certified, register for the Greenbrier Coding Workshop or Examination to be held August 20–21 at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs, WV, immediately following the 2012 Annual Scientific Meeting (The National).
For more information on the CSFAC, visit the APMA website. APMA has plans to expand this program to subsequent regional, state, and local meetings, as well as the The National in 2013. If your affiliate would be interested in hosting the workshop and/or the examination, contact APMA's Health Policy & Practice Department at coding.hpp@apma.org or 301-581-9200. For the rest of your coding needs, visit the APMA website. Register by June 30 to book a room at the preferred room rate.
