Query:  Reason for Denial for Dispensing a CAM Boot at an ASC?

 

I tried billing the HCPCS L4361KXRT for a CAM Boot that I brought to an ASC facility and dispensed to my patient. Why did it get denied ?

Response from Codinghelpline.com: DME is defined as the ability for it to be used in the patient's home. If you are not billing it under Home (POS 12), then the claim will be denied.
