Query: Hospital Acquisition of Practice

 

I am under negotiation with my local hospital to acquire my practice. They proposed buying my active charts for a per chart rate rather than one acquisition fee for the practice. Has anyone gone through a sale with terms such as these? Is there a "going rate" for charts? Are there some legal or other considerations I should consider regarding this type of arrangement?
