TN Podiatrist Retires as PICA’s President and Chief Medical Officer 

 

Effective March 31, 2024, Ross E. Taubman, DPM is retiring as President and Chief Medical Officer of PICA after 12 years. Throughout his time with PICA, Dr. Taubman demonstrated exceptional strategic vision and a passion for innovation. His commitment to the company, as well as the podiatry profession, helped PICA expand its market presence and maintain their legacy of protecting podiatric medical physicians. PICA, which is part of the ProAssurance family of companies, also received the Top Workplaces Award in Middle Tennessee for eight consecutive years under Taubman’s leadership.

Dr. Taubman became President and Chief Medical Officer of PICA in 2012. Before joining PICA, Dr. Taubman had been in private practice serving patients since 1985. He has served in many capacities in local and national medical associations, including president of the American Podiatric Medical Association and president of the Maryland Podiatric Medical Association. This year, Taubman was presented with the Kenison Award by the American Podiatric Medical Student Association.
