PA Podiatrist to Receive ACFAS 2024 Distinguished Service Award

 

Michael S. Downey, DPM, FACFAS will receive this year’s American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons’ (ACFAS) Distinguished Service Award. The award will be presented at the Awards Ceremony taking place on Friday Feb 2nd at ACFAS 2024.

Dr. Downey has spent nearly 25 years volunteering within the College. Dr. Downey’s service included two terms, 17 years apart, on the Annual Scientific Conference Committee, the chair of the Education and Scientific Affairs Committee, a member of the former CPG Management Council. He also currently serves as a reviewer of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Surgery, ACFAS’ peer-reviewed scientific journal.
