Query: MIPS Exception for 2022

It looks like CMS is offering a COVID-19 MIPS Exception for 2022 as they have done the two previous years. This will need to be filed by December 31, 2022. Can anyone provide a good resource with specific directions for filing the exception?

Query: MIPS Attesting

We are using a company called MD interactive to try to avoid getting docked money by Medicare (could be 9% this year). We are instituting several quality measures to avoid getting penalized, however, we are running into difficulties because there are not even enough podiatry-related quality measures (neuropathy screening, diabetes screening, smoking screening, footwear evaluation)  to get to the 60 points needed to avoid the penalties.

I would like to know what other practices are using to avoid losing nearly 10% of Medicare reimbursement, which would equate to tens of thousands for our practice.

Query: 2020 MIPS Requirements

My practice has successfully met the Meaningful Use/MIPS requirements over the past several years with the help of our EMR - NEMO-TRAKnet. MIPS 2020 will require a higher threshold to obtain a high score. Will the requirements be so onerous as to require the services of APMA-endorsed “white glove services”, or will our efforts made in the past with some new changes be enough?

Query: MIPS 2019 Payment Adjustment

My 2017 MIPS score was 100/100 possible points, the maximum. I busted my hump to make this happen. I just checked my 2019 Medicare payment adjustment and was disappointed to find that this hard work will get me only a 2.02% positive adjustment. 4-5% was expected. Does anyone know what is going on?
