CA Podiatrist Named World's Top Ranked Expert in Diabetic Foot

 

David G. Armstrong, Professor of Surgery, Co-Director of the Limb Preservation Program and Director of the Southwestern Academic Limb Salvage Alliance (SALSA), was named the world’s top expert on the diabetic foot for years 2011-2021. The ranking, based on publications and citations of publications, was tabulated in recently released data.

Dr. Armstrong, who has nearly 600 peer-reviewed publications that have been cited more than 54,000 times, was also ranked first under the topic of skin ulcers and 6th for wound healing.
