RE: Volunteer to be a Vaccinator

I have been accepted as a vaccinator for COVID-19 by NYC for this Saturday. I am a member of the NYC Medical Reserve Corps. We have been practicing Point of Dispensing Units (PODS) for several years. Specifically, they were meant for anthrax or bioterrorism. We adapted. There will be 16 sites called Vaccine Hubs, but they will be modified POD units previously trained. NYC is going "all hands in" for vaccines now.

 

I hope other podiatrists will volunteer to be "vaccinators". My goal for Saturday is to personally give 500 injections in a 12-hour shift. My personal response to the political tension is to volunteer to do a good deed.
