FDC Sends Warning Letter to NY Podiatrist for Bogus COVID-19 Treatment

 

From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic through August, the FTC sent nine batches of warning letters to more than 300 companies and individuals peddling bogus treatments for the virus. In November, the FTC sent warning letters to another 20 companies. Some products being touted are similar to earlier ones challenged by the FTC and FDA, including intravenous Vitamin C infusions and dietary supplements, although some claims are more outrageous. Among those sent a warning letter was Howard Robins, DPM promoting ozone-related therapies through a link on his website to an article that says there are ways to prevent, mitigate, or cure COVID-19.
