OPEIU to Offer Healthcare Plan to Guild Members

 

Drs. Phil Morreale (IA), Ed Smith (VT), John Mattiacci (PA), and Joseph Pasquino (PA) met with Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU) President Richard Lanigan at the 28th OPEIU Convention in Las Vegas. Dr. Mattiacci and Mr. Lanigan announced the implementation of a new OPEIU health plan which will be available to Guild members and their families this month. The fully insured plan offers three plan designs and pharmacy benefits. Vision, dental, and audiology benefits can be added by the individual member.

Dr. Mattiacci stated that this benefit  has been in development for well over a year and "all of the parties came together this week in order to make this announcement at the Convention. Over the past three years, the cost of healthcare has been a huge challenge to our members. The OPEIU plan is fully insured and should relieve the cost pressure on our members."
