NV Podiatrist Helps Aussie Patient Through Facebook

Peter Bregman, DPM,  a podiatrist  specializing  in peripheral nerve surgery of the lower leg, recently helped a patient in Australia without even being there! Dr. Bregman was asked by one of his patients to join a CECS chronic compartment syndrome group on Facebook, so he obliged and joined. Little did he know that he would learn a lot from these patients, and that he would help some of them as well.

Bregman posted a comment on the Facebook page that indicated that a patient who was having surgery was to make sure that the common fibular nerve was to be decompressed in addition to just doing a fasciotomy. Recently, he received an unexpected thank you. The patient who had the surgery in Australia thanked Dr. Bregman for making that suggestion because the patient is now pain-free after the surgery and attributed this to Bregman’s help.
