Here are the statistics from this year's Match:

 

Positions available: 564

Contending applicants: 615

Matched applicants: 511

Positions unfilled: 53

Applicants unmatched: 104

 

104 unmatched eligible graduates form this year's graduating class, along with unmatched graduates from previous years, will now enter the scramble to fill the 53 unfilled residency slots.
