FL Podiatrist Delivers Commencement Address at UCF

 

Dr. Gideon J. Lewis delivered this year's commencement address at the the University of Central Florida (UCF). Lewis is a UCF graduate, a board-certified reconstructive foot and ankle surgeon, an entrepreneur, and a volunteer UCF College of Medicine faculty member. At the College of Medicine, he serves as director of the Pre-Medical Surgical Internship Program, which he founded. In 2010, he received the college's first "Rising Star Award" for his contributions to UCF and the community.

Lewis earned his doctorate at the California College of Podiatric Medicine and completed his surgical residency at Florida Hospital. A former Division I collegiate athlete, he specializes in sports medicine. In 2011, he co-founded Drink Chia!, a healthy-lifestyle beverage available in more than 3,000 stores nationwide.
