PODIATRISTS IN THE NEWS
"Cinderella" Procedure Allows Women to Function Pain-Free - CA Podiatrist
Cosmetic foot surgery such as a trademarked “Cinderella” procedure is becoming trendy, according to the Daily Mail. And women who want to totter on the highest possible heels à la Carrie Bradshaw are finding out that if the shoe doesn't fit, they can wear it anyway. At the forefront of the worrying trend is podiatrist Dr. Ali Sadrieh, founder of the Beverly Hills Aesthetic Foot Surgery center in Studio City, CA, where women not only can get their toes trimmed or lengthened but also can have problems like bunions and corns fixed.

“It’s unrealistic to tell women not to wear high heels,” Sadrieh told The Wall Street Journal. “I came up with procedures that allow women to function, pain-free, in the real world.” The so-called Cinderella procedure is a preventive bunion correction that results in a narrower foot. The “Perfect 10!”, a toe-shortening operation, is meant to make the toes twinkle in sandals.
