TX Podiatrist Offers Cold Weather Advice for Feet

Podiatrist Kris Ford, DPM offers advice for taking care of feet during the cold winter months. During this time, the cold can be harsh on feet, so it is important to take the necessary precautions to avoid any foot or ankle problems.

Dr. Kris Ford

"Colder temperatures cause pain thresholds to drop, so injuries and arthritis of the feet and ankles can feel worse on colder days. To keep pain at bay, be sure to always wear closed-toe shoes with thick cotton socks. If it is really cold out, try wearing two pairs of socks," says Dr. Ford.
