Scholl Professor Sues Associate Dean for Defamation

Severko Hrywnak, DPM, an assistant professor and Chair of the Academic Assembly at the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine has filed suit against Daniel Bareither, PhD, alleging defamation. Dr. Bareither is a professor of Basic Medical Sciences and Senior Associate Dean of Educational Affairs. A copy of the complaint appears here. 

Reached for comment, Dr. K. Michael Welch, president and CEO of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science said, "We just received this. While the university is not named as a defendant, our attorneys are investigating the allegations and, based on our current knowledge, we do not believe that these claims have any merit whatsoever."
