PODIATRISTS IN THE COMMUNITY
NY Podiatrist Closes Office But Does Not Retire
After over 64 years of practice in Rego Park, NY, Arthur Gudeon, DPM, now 90 years of age, will finally be permanently closing his office. But even now, he’ll not be retiring, and will still be seeing patients part-time at the office of Pedram Hendizadeh, DPM in Maspeth, NY.
| Dr. Arthur Gudeon |
Dr. Gudeon is a monumental figure in the New York podiatry community. Over his many decades, he has recruited dozens of prospective students who have later enrolled at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He refers to them as his “podiakids”, many of whom have gone on to be leaders in podiatric academic and political arenas. After 9/11, "Artie" served as Chief of Podiatry at the St. Paul’s Cathedral, adjacent to the former World Trade Center, treating first responders.
